Took the battery out of my Nautica chrono to buy a replacement! Lost the battery and do not know what size to buy. On the back it ha A13571 any ideas?

Changing Watch Batteries
Lots of posters ask "what is the battery in my (name of watch)" with a view to changing it yourself. This is a bad idea for many reasons. You don't have the tools or knowledge to remove a rotary screw on back, or the gasket sealant for a waterproof watch. Some fashion watches have 4 traditional screw and need professional grade jeweler screwdrivers. Also, there are about 20 batteries commonly used in watches, in various sizes and internal technology, Lithium Ion, Silver Oxide and Manganese Alkaline. If you buy them, you generally have to buy 10!

Don't sweat the details. Just take the watch to your local jeweler. They have all the batteries at hand and the tools to remove the back. It is done whilst you wait for $8 to $15!

You need sharp nose pliers to unscrew the back and small screw driver to pry out the battery for direct replacement.Maybe 325 but you have to buy fresh ones from Radio Shack not drug stores.

You could take your watch to a local jeweler who would most likely have screws and probably give them to you for free. Or you could send a letter to the Nautica customer service department to request screws for your specific watch model. Here is the address. TG Service Center, PO BOX 2802 North Little Rock, AR 72115. This department routinely fixes Nautica watches and should most likely be able to send you screws for the back of your watch. If neither of those options work you could try buying the screws online on a website like this http://www.ofrei.com/page586.html If you are unsure you will find the proper sized screws, try taking a screw out and accurately measuring it. Google the some type of online screw warehouse, screw seller, or watch part store, and search for screws with the exact measurements of the screws on your model.

Best way to make sure you buy the correct battery is to open the back and check the # on the battery. You may need a magnifier to see the # clearly. If your changing it yourself be sure to use a blunt, non-metallic tool to remove and replace the battery.

The watch has been displayed for long time. You have to replace new battery for the watch and then those functions will work again. Good luck! :)
