I have a Zanussi Electrolux Jetsystem Progress ZSF 6161 Dishwasher which, no matter what programme I use, stops after 2 seconds and a -10 flashes.

Hi.
This sounds like doorlock issue.
You can access it from the door panel.
Panel has 4-6 screws.
From there you can check it with a multimeter (ohm setting).
It could also be as simple as bent door hatch, door lock not engaging with doorlock.

Did you try a hard reset

To reset a programme in progress, open the door and press the push button of the programme under way for more then 1 second, until the corresponding indicator light goes out. The dishwasher is now reset and you can select a new programme.

however is very simple, unplug the power and proceed taking the first wire and make note for color wiring, and replace.

The reason to this problem is due to the electric valve.
The old unit might have gone bad,replace it with a new
one.

The light cover on the side is loose causing it to flood remove the side and tighten the light cover the tilt the dishwasher to get water out of the float tray. let the dishwasher dry out and you should be grand
