Hi - I bought a new machine, but not from a Singer dealer, so they won't accept my warranty. I believe this is a manufacturing problem, I am now reading a bout it. After just barely using the machine, the bobbin case slips out of line, causing the needle to hit go through it, snapping the needle and not working again. I have already sunk $400 into the machine and new bobbin cases, and I have not been able to use it at all. Any suggestions or advice would be great. I cannot return the machine (from a private party), and I don't really have the money to put more into it. I will not sell the machine in its current condition. Thanks for your help!
My problem is solved (I think...that is a knock on wood kind of thing). Upon recommendation from another Futura user, I remove and clean my bobbin case and I put a drop of oil in the little hole under my bobbin case about every 5th or 6th monogram use. AND, I pitched all of my bobbins that were 15 and not 15J (I had some that were 15 and they were the culprit as well.) I have had no more problem. It seemed the least bit of lint caused me a lot of birdnesting. I also stopped using rayon thread and use only polyester and bobbin fill in the bobbin. I have got to say I am thoroughly enjoying my machine these days. Please try these things before giving up on this so user friendly machine.
My Singer Futura ce-100 was having bobbin case problems - thread jamming up in the bobbin, bobbin case popping up, etc. I ordered a new bobbin case think the old one was probably worn. Since I had nothing to lose, I used a nail file to work off any burrs around the bobbin case, then turned the bobbin tension screw a quarter turn in to increase the tension. It's not perfect, but the machine sews a lot better.
search ebay for Singer CE-100/200 Lower Bobbin Case Position Finger.it solved my problem
You're best bet is probably to buy
a new bobbin casing. They're usually about $25 or so and you should
be able to find one on eBay by searching for Singer (your machine
name and model) under the Crafts category. The silver plate on top of
the area covering where you place your bobbin into has screws you
need to carefully remove (careful not to loose them!). If you need
to, take pictures with your cellphone or digital camera as you remove
the old bobbin casing so you can see how to put the new one in.

The bobbin case taken out for cleaning and troubleshooting seems to be a problem with this model. Once the case is removed, reseating properly for use is not possible. At least, that has been my experience. I'm just glad I had an old sewing machine for backup, since I had deadlines on curtain orders.

I took the bobbin case out, cleaned the dust out and now it will not pick up the thread!
My bobbin is constantly causing bird nesting. I remove my work, clean bobbin, rethread and try again; it will also loop threads on the bottom. What is the solution? I read there are bobbin problems. Will they be able to resolve these at a Singer dealer? I would be happy to take it in if I thought it would be fixed and nothing else broken. (which has been my experience with local repair of my other machine in the past) I bought my machine new on line from Ken's, who I believe is an authorized dealer. I am not enjoying this machine at all.
I have the same prob - bobbin constantly jumping out of place - have had it worked on once under warranty which didn't really help very much - now I have bought a new bobbin case as the old one was in such bad shape from constantly being hit by the needle and this one doesn't work any better than the old one. I am not happy with this machine.
