SOURCE: keyboard/mouse not working
You need to restore to a previous date before you installed the wireless mouse / keyboard.
If that dont work then your only solution is to format and reinstall since it might be you could have damaged a few vxd files window's needs to use those devices
(THIS IS ASSUMING THE MOUSE AND KEYBOARD WERE CONNECTED PROPPERLY) AND THEN THE SYSTEM WAS TURNED ON
if that wasnt done
shut down compuer
2.) plug mouse into green ps2 port and keyboard into the blue one
3.) turn on computer

If you have got a USB receiver for the wireless keyboard and mouse, then the solution might be with the receiver. Normally we know that to play a USB thumb drive, we simply plug in and play. But some model of Acer computer require us to press the button on the thumb drive to activate it. The model I had (an Aspire model) set the press button same as the blicking light bulb. So (a) turn on computer, (b) plug in thumb drive receiver (c) press button on the drive, (d) press "contact" button on the mouse and keyboard. That works for me.

Usually there will be a connect button, it sync them up together. First press the one and hold on the receiver then press the one on the keyboard. Sometimes they can be under/ on the bottom of the keyboard.

These are built very cheaply even though you pay good money for them they are designed and built at a minimal cost. I had problems with mine and finally threw it away and I am an electronics technician but it wasn't worth fixing. For what it is worth I have been using an MI wireless mouse for over a year now and it has been working fine other than replacing batteries occasionally.
