SOURCE: Ryobi 18V lithium battery won't charge

Hi, Thanks for getting back to me. The yellow and blinking red indicate a defective cell. Since it has lithium cells and is that new any repair to it would be a waste of your time. Ryobi tools purchased in 2008 have a 2 year warranty. I am guessing you probably got it at a home depot and you should return it under the warranty. All new Ryobi tools have a three year warranty. Good Luck! and Thanks for using fixya!

SOURCE: Set will not power on.. Blinks red LED 8 times

It's a power supply related problem.
The flashing 8 times is a trouble code. A Service Manual for your TV model will have the info on the codes. It could be a bad capacitor or a transformer on the power supply board. If you have some electronic experience, you can find a Service Manual for your TV over the internet. Cost about under $20.

SOURCE: ryobi lithium batteries won't take charge

For others with the same problem (flashing red light won't go off)...make sure you FIRMLY PUSH the battery down onto the charger and engage the latches. Simply resting the battery on the charger will not work.

Why doesn't my battery charge? Why doesn't the charger's light come on?

Hi Suzanne! Follow these steps to check that your charger and battery are working properly.

1. Unplug the charger for at least 30 seconds.
2. Plug the charger back in. The blue light on the charger should flash once.

If the blue light flashes once this is an indication that the charger is still functioning properly. If the blue light does not flash, the charger will need to be replaced. Follow this link to order a replacement charger. LiNX Battery Charger

3. Place the battery in the vacuum and turn it on for 30 seconds. (even if it does not turn on or powers off)
4. Turn the vacuum off.
5. Remove the battery and place it in the charger.

If the light on the charger is solid blue this is an indication that the battery has been reset. Allow 3-4 hours for the battery to fully charge. The blue light will start to blink slowly to indicate the battery is fully charged.

If the light on the charger is flashing blue or there is no light at all this can mean that your battery needs to be replaced. Follow the link to order a replacement battery. LiNX Lithium Ion Battery

Hope this helps!

Plantronics audio 995H wireless headset not charging when plugged into computer. It does not show a red light for charging. When turned on it stays blue for several seconds then flickers red for 2 or

38cafd7a-6060-4717-bc4f-b4db91cc266a.jpgI recently fixed my 955 headphones... it's probably not going to be attempted by most folks, but it saved a great set of headphones from being tossed and replaced.

Basically you need to remove the right side padding and take out the 3 screws. This gets you access to the battery. The battery is a standard 3.6V lithium battery. Pretty much the same that is in most cell phones and many small toys. You can simply replace the battery with something like:

Or... here's what I did... add a lithium USB charger to the battery.

Now, if the battery dies I can plug it into USB and the phone will work while it charges.

The charger is plug in and the battery is charging so in my acer 4736 , the blue red is on as the laptop is opwer on and another light is red as the battery is charging , when battery is fulling charged...

try cycling your battery it should be done to lithium ion every couple of months. Run your computer until it shuts down from low battery. Then leave it unplugged for at least 5 hours to make sure all residual power is gone. Then fully charge the battery, this will help fix battery health issues.

DSC-F707 Digital Camera Problem

I did the same thing. What I found out was that it's very important to charge a lithium battery completely on the first use. You probably took it off the charger too soon. If it's not completely charged on the first use it won't be able to hold any charge.
Sadly, I ended up having to buy another one and try again.
Sorry.

Kodak C763 - fully charged battery - blue lights go and blink for a few seconds - camera will not turn on, lens does not open.

Hi-
When you say 'fully charged', is it the original battery from the camera, or another type of battery?
The description you give indicates one of three possible issues:
1. Your old battery can no longer hold a sufficient charge and though it can give enough to show activity (blue light), it may not hold enough to run the device. You may need to replace it > should be available at most retailers that sell Kodak cameras.
2. Wrong type of battery used. Check to see what type of battery the camera requires: NiCad, Lithium, etc. are all different, and not all can be used in these cameras. It's not just about the battery size.
3. Did you drop it? If so, the threads for the lense may have been damaged, not allwing it to eject from the body.
Since you bought a Kodak, you are lucky. If options 1 or 2 do not fix the problem, contact Kodak and they will usually take care of you.
Good luck!
