Not water comes into Bosch dishwasher?

Hear humming sound like motor is running, controls light up, timer counts down normally, can't hear usual sound of water splashing on wash cycle, open door during wash cycle and everything appears dry as if NO water is coming into the machine.

Assuming you have verified water is actually getting to water valve, most likely water valve is the problem and needs replacing.

Sounds like the control module is out -- cost about $100 (I am on my third). I got a "lifetime" warranty when buying my second one. If you are handy, you can replace it yourself. You can call Bosch to confirm this (I did). It mounts inside the door. Mine is a BOSCH 5316.

The draining problem may mean a clogged drain hose -- you have to check it all the way back to either the main drain or the garbage disposal (if you have one). This may be what forced off the impeller wheel.

SOURCE: Bosch dishwasher timer freezing

There is a recall on the control board of many of these models, butyour problem is likely not related. It sounds like a plugged drain system or a possible bad drain pump. That's why you are hearing the pump running constantly. I have written a guide to help. It is here. Thanks!

My dishwasher starts humming in middle of cycle and wont go further the rinse cycle works fine

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

Either of these two things can cause this problem: first is the timer motor, if the sound is coming from the control then the timer needs replacement. If the humming comes from the bottom of the unit then it is the motor that needs replacement. When the motor won't work you usually hear humming sound and replacing the motor is recommended repair. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

After my dishwasher fills with water, and starts to run, the motor is making alot of noise. Its loud and I'm afarid to run it. Could the motor be bad?

Hello & Welcome to FixYa
If you hear a loud hum/buzz sound from the bottom of the unit then it is the motor that is bad and if the hum comes from the control then it is the timer/electronic control that is bad and needs replacement. However, after reading your question I believe it is the motor that needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Dishwasher fills with water then hums

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

When the dishwasher fills then it means that the control and the water inlet valve are fine, hum sound itself indicates that the motor is bad and needs replacement. If you hear a hum sound from the bottom of the unit then it is the motor that is bad and if the hum comes from the control then it is the timer that is bad and needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Dishwasher not working. lights come on but dishwasher will not start. when you hit cancel/stop, 2 minutes appear and there is a huming sound and it counts down and goes off. When u turn on the wash cycle,...

the dw is probably full of water because the motor didnt pump it out
because the impellor on the motor has stripped thread and not drainning the water when u hit cancel /stop the timer is asking the d/w to drain and end the cycle. If u wait 2 mints after u start the machine do u then here a hum from the motor trying to wash
if the d/w dosnt have water in it and you turn it on it should fill or there is a problem with the inlet water valve or timer or no power to the water valve a appliance tech should determine this probably more than normall person should attempt
( solv ya prob)

Bosch shu5315 06

it sounds as though the circulating pump may not be operating. if so fault is often due to the pump capacitor being faulty and this is a cheap part.

Bosch SHU5318: Water wont start washing

if it hums when you are in the wash phase then something is jamming the wash impeller like broken glass tooth pick found a necklace in one one time i think replacing the control board fixed the other problems on most washers the drain pump is separate from the wash motor haven't worked on bosch so not sure take off the lower spray arm and go down till you get to the impeller then do what you have to do clear it or replace wash motor
