I'm willing to bet you have faulty capacitors in the power supply. You can either have the individual capacitors replaced(cheap fix) or replace the power supply board. This is my best guest as this model is known for this problem. If you don't feel comfortable in opening up your set, get a professional to look it over

There are two places to look for the problems, the backlight inverter board and the power supply. Look at the power supply first since it is easier to get to, look for burnt parts, bad capacitors, etc.

There's 2 capacitors in power supply that are bad, they will have a bulging top, 1000uf @ 10V.

There are 3 capacitors in power supply board, all 1000uF10v.
2 for 5vdc and 1 for 12vdc. replace with best quality 1000uF 25V cap.
do it yourself repair will save you $300

The power supply is probably getting weak and ready to fail. Having a qualified technician repair it now would probably be less expensive than waiting until it fails completely.

This could be the power supply problem, or the main board. You need technician to fine out what is going on.

We have the same problem with our 46" Samsung LCD Tv LNT-4665F. It's only 2 years old and unfortunately it's out of warranty too. Our tv would not power on and just does this clicking sound. We called to get it serviced and we will need to pay $95 to have somebody comeout and diagnose the problem or we bring it to the shop and pay $50 to diagnose the problem. we've never had any problem with our SONY TVs. we regret buying Samsung!
