if your qulified enough you need to bypass the timer electrically so as to put power direct to the oven
SOURCE: how to replace inner oven door
Generally, the job is just alot of screws. Depending on the model, most screws are found either inside the door or on the lower edge. Some models...mostly GEs... have a way of removing the door from the hinge. Doors are heavy and are usually spring counterweighted.
Is it an easy job? Depends...if you're mechanically inclined it is straight forward. You will need an assistant as these doors do come apart and they are heavy. Often, the manufacturer or a parts house has an exploded diagram to let you see what you're facing.
Oh, and use a good quality screw driver and apply pressure when turning out screws. You don't want to ruin the heads!

could be the peg that engages into a double roller set inside the door. this peg is usually adjustable. try screwing it out a bit. also check that the spring tensioned roller is ok - these commonly fail
SOURCE: How can I remove oven door so that I can replace the broken glass
I just took my oven door off and took it apart to clean the glass inside. I don't have a maytag but they probably all work alike. Just open the door like you are going to broil something and just lift it up. It should slide right off. Shouldn't have to unscrew anything. Hope this helps. Arlene

On ours you have to use the the timer controls; press the button with a hand symbol and the one next to it with a "-" symbol at the same time. Try a combination of the buttons on yours if this doesn't work. Weird, and took me months to figure!
