, even though I drained the tank and added new fuel, new sparkplug. I took the carby off and removed the bowl, found some nasty gel-like stuff that smelled like turpentine..so I cleaned the bowl out, put it all back together, tried starting...no good. I left it overnight as I wanted to look at it with fresh eyes..I discovered that the entire tank of fuel had leaked into the sump crankcase So I pulled out the sparkplug, drained the sump, wound the motor over to blow the fuel out of the cylinder, new oil, new fuel again Any help on this is appreciated..I dunno why is is listed under tank Motorcycles...sorry guys..something is screwed up here

Take the carburetors apart and either rebuild them or clean them thoroughly.

Tank filter not blocked? (Take tap off tank) Enough oil in motor? Try overfilling it slightly

had the same problem with my Honda engined mower. you can't see it easily, but there is a very fine screen in the outlet of the fuel tank that gets blocked and fuel will not pass thru it fast enough to refill carb. remove tank and pour fuel in another container . Use a flexible plastic tube in the outlet or make a small wire hook to penetrate the screen,or preferably, remove it. confirm that fuel flows freely thru it, remove any debris, and reassemble. Change spark plug, add fresh fuel, and test. best of luck!!!! Ray
