Just need to install the Netflix app on your new iPad, login with your credentials and you are ready to go.

Depending upon your Netflix account, it will allow you to use 2 or 4 devices simultaneously. So you can either uninstall the Netflix app from your older iPad or keep it and use it.

Hi Debra, I hope I can help you, as I just recently added Netflix. When you first added Netflix on the TV that the startup menu appears, I believe Netflix asks you "Is this TV you'll be watching Netflix on?", and I'm sure you said yes like I did. Then it asks if there is an iPad or IPhone that Netflix will be watched on. I said my iPad, as I was allowed 2 devices. Now, if you've already chosen 2 devices, I believe you need to contact Netflix customer support to switch the devices used, or to add a device if you've only chosen one.

Smart TV has a HOME button. I'm pretty sure there is Netflix at the Home Page. From there you can log into your account. No need to stream it through your iPad or iMac.

Here are the things I would try.

1.Close the Netflix app. Double click the home button on the iPad and swipe the Netflix app to end it.
2. Restart the iPad. Hold the power button and swipe the screen to turn off the iPad
3. Delete the Netflix app. Tap and hold the Netflix app's icon and choose the x in the corner to remove the app.
4. Re-add the Netflix app to the iPad from the app store.

Can your computer connect to the internet? If it can, it just means that you have a wired internet connection and not a wifi connection on the computer, which means your iPad is just connected to your home network via wifi. If your computer can't access the internet or you know you don't have internet service at home, then you either have cellular service (3G/4G) or your iPad is connected to some other available WiFi from someone else's service.

You need to use mobile Safari on your iPad to access to actual Netflix site and pick or queue up movies to watch from the main site. The Netflix site on mobile Safari will redirect your viewing choices to be played on the Netflix app for iOS automatically. Also, if you want to have Netflix stream to your TV without an iPad, you'll need to purchase Wifi media player such as this made by Apple, Roku or Sony. These work to stream Netflix direct to your TV, however, like the iPad app for Netflix, the content accessed by these wireless streaming devices is also limited and requires you to still use the full Netflix website to access their complete viewable library.
