I have a Braun multi mix M 880, I plugged it and it's not working, wondering what the problem could be, I want to know how to power it on, to know if I made a mistake or if the problem is from the wire or plug.

I have an old B and D Multi-Mix mixmaster that belonged to my mother. It has push button electronic timer- 12 speeds written on it and also Automic timer. and would be probably 35 yrs old. I love it for...

First, is this a stand-type mixer? If so, have you removed the mixer head from the stand? The model # may be found there under the hinge on the mixer head. Second, if you still can't find a model #, why not Google images of B&D Multi-Mix units? It would probably help to put the model year in the search description, such as 1983 B&D Multi-Mix mixer. Once you find the matching image online, you should be able to find a model number.

My braun mixer seems to be powering out when I am mixing dough with the hook. It also has a little sound that it makes when it is working harder. It never used to make this sound.

This sounds to me like the brushes in the motor need to be replaced. You may want to call an area shop which rebuilds electric motors and see if they have a replacement for you. They're not very expensive and fairly easy to replace.

I hope this helps and I hope you have a wonderful holiday season!

Braun MultiMix 880 became a one speed. Is a replacement switch available?

Apparently the switch is very easily available, unknown for what reason. In Europe they say it is not available at all anymore, which I find strange.
However!
Dissasemble, by removeing base plate and screw underneath curved retainer plstic clip in the front. Then gently pry apart with blunt, thin object to split the two halves. Remember to unplug the power cord first. Check the circuit board for cracks, or burnt components. Then suspect the triac/tyristor. Desolder it and test it with a multimeter. (google "test triac multimeter"). Then note the code on the front of the triac, and search for a supplier of electronic parts to get hold of a new one and solder it back on. Note the orientation of the pins, and reattach heatsink if fitted. (Euro version have non.)The triac often looks like a flat design transistor and have a code/part nr that may look like; TCI 226 N, as on my European 230v version. Electronic components suppliers also have interchangeability lists for different manufacturers and use cross reference lists. Should only costs a few dollars or so. Triacs tend to stay fully open when failed, causing full speed in any mode. It is worth a shot.

I have problems with my powercord so I wonder how to open it so I can switch cable.

1. remove the base palte by lifting the end opposite to the electric cord.
2. Loosen the bottom power outled slider, without removing it fully
3. unclip the curved plastic retainer in the front and unscrew philips head screw.
4. Work around the edges of the two halves until it comes apart and you are able to free the slider from its return spring.

And see pictures here at the bottom

How does one open the case of a braun multimix 220w - i removed the screw in the front, but something else is holding it together

You need to remove the base plate by carefully prying it open at the opposite end of where the electric cord is fitted. Then release the two halves working along the edges with a thin blunt object. Also carefully remove the sliding cover for the center power mixer outlet before separating the halves.

MIxer quit working while mixing 3 batches of oatmeal cookies

Hi. Kitchenaid's warranty is 1 year.

Most likely, the plastic transmission housing has failed, causing damage to the working parts inside your mixer. Take it to a local repair place and have them work up a quote to repair it. It will take at least a month to get the parts.

If this solution has assisted you, please rate it. ricardok45
