Ld" flashes if it takes longer than 5 minutes to pump out water to a point where the operating pressure switch resets.

Press STOP/CANCEL to clear the display.

This may be an indication that you are beginning to plug a strainer, located behind the kick panel at the base of the machine. If the problen becomes recurrent, check that also. One last thing....Don't overdo the detergent. HE machines use considerably less detergent, and make considerably less suds.

LD is an error code relating to poor drainage. Check the drain hose and/or pipe for a clog. It's also possible that debris could have worked itself into the drain pump, causing a delay in drainage. Fixing your drainage problem will fix the LD error code.

I have a westinghouse lt955s. The machine is stopping while it is draining and on the display it keeps on flashing LD and the number of minutes left of the cycle. Does anyone know what LD means?

Ld = all water level lisghts flashing slowly accompanied by 5 fast beeps every 4 minutes - LID is open position

got this out of machine manual hope it helps

Washer stops when Ld comes up on display before final spin, but washer drains fine.

Ld code appears intermittantly

ld is a long drain time...you may have something in he drain or a bad inpeller in the drain pump...it is taking too long to drain out

We have a Kenmore Elite Calypso, it is not washing

"Ld" (Long Drain) flashes
Is the drain hose kinked or clogged?
Press STOP/CANCEL to clear the display.
• "CA" or "Cl" (Current Limit)
Is the washer overloaded?
Press STOP/CANCEL to clear the display.

LD stands for long drain, you probably have a bad pump or the pump is clogged with lint etc.

Kenmore (Calypso) Elite Washing machine shows LD and LF!

LD means long drain and according to the manual your drain hose could be clogged or kinked.
LF means long fill. check your water hoses and the screens to make sure they are not clogged. Had that happen to me once and i had to change the hoses. several months later same thing happened and it was the motor pump part # 8054968, this you can fix yourself.

What does ld mean?

ld mean long, drain. the machine was unable to drain out water in a given amount of time, calypso is imfamous for collecting lint in the pump assy, id open that up and have a look
