My Breitling Chronograp he evolution changes the date at 3:00pm and not at 12:00am why ?

1. Check the battery: Before attempting to set up your watch, make sure that the battery has not run down. If the battery is dead, you will need to have it replaced by a professional watchmaker or authorized Breitling service center.
2. Wind the watch: If the battery is not dead, you may need to wind the watch to get it started. Most Breitling watches have a self-winding mechanism, but if it has not been worn for a long time, it may need to be manually wound.
3. Set the time: Once the watch is running, you can set the time by pulling out the crown (the knob on the side of the watch) and turning it until the hands are set to the correct time. Push the crown back in when the time is set.
4. Set the date: If your watch has a date function, you can set the date by pulling the crown out to the second position and turning it until the date changes. Push the crown back in when the date is set.
5. Synchronize the time: If your watch has a chronograph function (stopwatch), you may need to synchronize the time to ensure that it is accurate. You can do this by starting the chronograph and waiting for it to complete a full revolution.

Take it back (undo your "new" purchase).

Real watch movements DO NOT have the accuracy
of "QUARTZ" watches...!!

If you have a WARRANTEE that allows for higher
expectations... I would say TAKE IT back
immediately..!!

Worse than dropping a few SECONDS from your
watch...you are wasting time from your LIFE tribulating over nonsense

(I think you need a QUARTZ... digital)...

Their web site does not give any user manuals but most watches change the date by pulling out the crown to position 2 (1 is the normal home position, 3 is fully out and 2 is inbetween the two) and rotate the crown to change date.

This quality of watch may require you to turn the crown wheel anticlockwise before pulling it out (extra seal).

If this does not work them go to http://www.breitling.com/en/index.php#/models/aeromarine/chrono-colt/ and using the menu on the left, locate their nearest service center and contact them. I fell sure that they will be only too happy to explain the procedure for changing the date.

You wont find these online generally, If its a real watch go to your local Authorised Dealer or contact Breitling UK for a manual.

Keep in mind that I dont have the watch in my hand... :-)

If this is an authentic Breitling...

You should have 2 buttons on the right with the crown between them. The crown screws down so you need to unscrew it before you attempt to set! Once unscrewed with gentle pressure pull the crown out. There should be 2 clicks, pull to 2nd click or furthest distance from case. That should be the time setting mode. Turn clockwise until the date changes then set your time. To change the date push back to the 1st click and that should be the date set mode. One direction will be for day and the opposite will be date. I believe that if you pull the crown back to 2nd click and push your buttons that should change the subdials for chrono. You might need to push both buttons at the same time.

Ive set Breitlings before but they arent a common watch we see. Most people dont use the Chrono so if the directions dont work for setting those then I wouldnt worry too much about it! Not many people are going to notice those. :-) Also be so very careful if its a real Breitling as they are a very expensive to fix! :-)

the buffing is nothing as long as the links are solid gold, u can tell by looking at the back of the band. if the gold area is gold on the back and not steel then it should be solid, a jewelry store should buff it out for u we charge about 150 to do it. what do u mean gold 30

On most.  Turn the winding screw anti-clockwise until it clicks and pops out slightly. Pull it all the way out or half way out to change the time or date.

you're not supposed to change the time at certain times if it is an automatic. I think any time after 8pm and before 4am (but check your manual). Apparently it messes up the mechanism. Maybe that's the issue?

I suppose when you're setting the time on your watch, passing the midnight marker the date changes. In that case you can go to the date funcion and reset the date.
