Check the following in camera mode and the auto/manual switch set to manual:
exposure: set to auto shutter: set to auto or off agc: auto white balance: auto program ae: off gain up: auto display/bright: +1-+3
after all that, hit the auto/manual switch again to set the camera into auto mode, the new settings should sort you out.

I have a mini jvc digital video camcorder. All of a sudden the Menu button and the button you press to take a still picture won't work? I had left it outside in my car over two nights. It was fairly cool...

Depending on which model of camcorder you have, it can take far longer than 8 hours to get itself warmed properly inside.
If possible, open any slots it has on it (tape and memory card slots etc.), and take the battery out/off - leave any battery compartment door open too. And leave it in a standard temperature room for about half a day. A memory card type camcorder should take less time than a Mini-DV or DVD model, but the time to 'defrost' can vary a lot from one model to another.

Don't leave it near to a heat source (like a room radiator) to warm if faster, as it has to do it naturally over time. Most DVD and Mini-DV types will give some kind of indication about condensation being a problem though - a warning light may show, or a message saying *DEW* or *CONDENSATION* may appear.
If other buttons seem to work, but just not the ones you mentioned, then it may be they have damp behind them. This may dry out over time again, but also sometimes the tiny buttons need to be cleaned off inside. Not a simple task as the item would need taking apart just to be wiped inside the buttons/contacts.
Hope that helps a little.

Lcd screen reads

Either the dew sensor is defective or there is some condensation inside the unit. Try opening up the unit and pointing a hair dryer at it from about 12" away (enough to blow warm air inside the unit, not hot air). Let that run for about 10-15 minutes and try the unit again. If it continues to fail, than the dew sensor needs to be replaced. This repair shoold be done by a repair shop as cameras are not the easiest to work on.

AC BLOWS WARM AIR

Cooling comes from what is done outside, if air handler is blowing and you are hearing a sound , may be in the duct work. If you feel warm air in cooling mode then the outside unit is the prob, need more info
