I want to activate the sync option on my accounts. After extensive search, I cannot find where to do it!

Follow the steps carefully

First, lets make sure your Calendar is properly synced. The process is the same on both devices.

Go to Settings, then open Mail/Contacts/Calendars.

Next, select Add Account and Gmail. However, if you have already added your Gmail account, then instead of Add Account, choose Gmail from the account list.

Toggle the Calendar switch to On.

Otherwise, add your Google account information and a description of the calendar, and ensure that the Calendar option is switched on. Syncing will begin when you next open the Calendar app on your iPhone or iPad.

Your Android tablet has the ability to have multiple accounts setup and synced. Below are steps to setup your accounts.

1. At the top-right of the screen, tap Apps.
2. Locate and tap the Settings icon.
3. Near the middle of the screen choose the Accounts and Sync option.
4. At the top-right of the screen click on the Add Account option.
5. Choose which type of account you wish to sync.

Try the Usual removal of sim & sd card..Then reboot and turn off sync and sync manually. Are you getting a message that google.gapps.not responding

well the easiest thing to do is sync your browser w/your email address. if you haven't done this, there's really no way to restore it unless you do it manually. to sync google chrome to your email do this:
go to the wrench icon @ the top right.
go to options
click the 'personal stuff' tab on the left
the first option is to sync your account, follow the setup instructions.
If you have already done this, there's a button to resync all your settings. good luck!!

Hello try the instructions below, if you do not have gmail or yahoo then you need to find the server info of your email provider or post the name of your email service provider so i can look up their info.


Gmail Account/Server Info
For Gmail, the configuration is
SMTP server: smtp.gmail.com
SMTP port: 587
Secure Connection: TLS

Incoming server type: IMAP4
IMAP4 Server: imap.gmail.com

In your Gmail account, go to
Settings > Forwarding and POP/IMAP > IMAP Access > Enable IMAP

1. Delete the previously not working Gmail account in your phone
2. Press Menu
3. Select My Accounts
4. Choose the proper type of email account: Do NOT select "Google", but Exchange ActiveSync!
5. On the next screen fill out the Email address:
do not write [email protected], instead use [email protected]!
6. The username will be typed in automatically
7. Type in the password
8. Press Next
9. Press OK for the activation
10. On the next screen type in the server URL: m.google.com
11. Set Use SSL to ON (button turns green)
12. Press Set (left below)
13. On the next screen set the options you need: Email sync, Calendar sync, Contact sync, Task sync (below is another option in case of conflicts between data on the phone and the server)
14. There are further more options if you press the gear icon (sync: push/manual, push days/hours)
15. Press Done (left below)

Inserting the iPhone SIM Card

Activate iPhone

hey mate you need active sync on your pc- it should have installed in the first connection (maybe you got a cd with the HD with it on it or try searching for it) from here you connect up using the usb cable that also goes in your power pack and connect it up and choose active sync on the mobile (if touch is still working) or if not it usually is preset to choose active sync from here it should start syncing all your phone info to microsoft excahnge automatically (i had to set up an excahnge connected it to my hotmail account/uni account) from here next time u say reset your phone (hard reset) or flash it or get a new windows mobile phone (all same software ie samsung omnia and htc touch hd both windows 6.1) it will automatically resync all your contacts onto the phone (as long as its connected on active sync)- hope this helps a bit
