if your sound system gives you Desk Error or Desk Read Error, try cleaning it with a lens cleaner, they can be found in many forms in the market. If the problem still insists then your system's lens ( the part which read the optical discs like DVD's CDs etc.) need to be checked by a professional technician, probably would install a new lens on your system. It means the *eeprom ic in the video card is faulty. You need to get the *eeprom ic L64 replaced. The only way to solve it is to contact the Sony Technical Support to check your Sony product as it seems all the suggestion didn't work on your unit.
