You could try ant. on the tuner of the television and try to see if it grabs any channels on AIR ..if the scan goes all the way without finding any channels then the tuner of the television is not working. This means the mainboard will have to be exchange or repair..

Make sure you have the tuner type set to cable and not air. Also try plugging a different TV into the same cable and see if that works. If not the issue is the cable, if it does the TV may not with your cable. Try and contact your cable provider.
Yes this tv dose have a digital tuner inside of it,all flats LCD and Plasma tvs are Digital tvs they all can get free DTV air broadcasting tv channels. All digital flats LCD and Plasma tvs are DTV set u just require a very good like a roof Antenna or a newly Digital design portable Antenna connected the tv incomming air broastcasting signal cable back of to the flats screen tvs at the axail input call ANT.Then go into the tv menu.Goto setup go down pick AIR than press the enter button for scanning for free DTV air broadcasting channels. After the tv finish scanning for channels than the tv will let ur tv to get all the free DTV broadcasting channels.
I have the same problem. Cable went out, hooked up an antenna and it scanned ok. Hooked up a diff amplified ant, worked the same. So watched videos. Next morning tuner would no longer scan or add channels. Now it will not even factory reset. Get to Auto Scan and it goes no further, cable or air.
Ur tv is a digital tv.Just buy a Digital antena or a roof antena hook it up.Go to SETUP menu go down to CH. SETUP pick AIR,not CABLE and than enter to scan. After ur tv done scanning,u will get all the free air DTV channels.
A Converter hdtv box... is the SOOLUTION!!! try it..youll see!!! I had the same scan-turner problem with my Olevia "digital" Olevia tv!! Because I was curious i tried that to see what happen..and it worked!! Olevia tv fixed!!! Easy..your tv is not able to scan cahnnels...then, the solution is to plugging "a thing" that can do that: a converter box.
I need to go to Menu, Picture, Mode, Home..... The default setting for the TV was Showroom which wouldn't let the cable signal through. Thanks for trying to help.
cable or Ant.. ? after the scan if there is no channels found (0 digital, 0 analog) then try with cable or Ant to see if any of them work.. if they still don't pick up any channels and the whole yellow progress line goes across.. then it sounds like the tuner on the tv is bad.. and the tuner is part of the main-board so the whole main-board will have to be exchange or repair.. contact Amergence technology they are a 3rd party repair center that service Olevia TV's and they will be able to give you an idea on the repair cost..

If you have tried autoprogramming and have found nothing it may be a bad tuner. Is your VCR is hooked up via coax or into a video input? If it is hooked up via video and is working but the coax connection direct isnt it will be a bad TV tuner. Easiest cheapest fix is to use you VCR to change channels or get a Digital Cable Terminal from you cable provider and hook it into video or compnent.
