SOURCE: Danby Dehumidifier

I dropped the water bucket by accident on the dehumidifier, and I have the same problem. Here what I found :
First, remove the water bucket and find the circuit diagram, it is very useful.

E1 code is related to the room humidity sensor, E2 code is related to the room temperature sensor and E3 code is related to the safety thermistor sensor. If you have one of these error code displayed, you will probably have to replace the sensor.

The humidity and temp sensors are located on the same board. To access it, remove the water bucket and you will see the 2 screws holding the front panel. Remove the screws, then gently prayed the front panel. Be careful, there is two plastic clip on the top of the panel and they are really easy to break. The board is located at the top right, under the cover. The safety thermistor is located on a pipe on the right side of the dehumidifier.

SOURCE: I have a danby dehumidifer model number DDR6011R It keeps saying the humidity is only 30..(Which I know it's higher) so the compressor isn't kicking on. Help??

It sounds like the humidistat sensor failed on the unit. You'll need to replace that sensor to be able to get the unit operational again

I have a danby premiere r410 a, the compressor will not come on

Hi There,
I would love to help you, however I am not sure which model you have. R410A is not a Danby model number. The correct number can be found on the back of the unit as well as on the front cover of the owners manual. The numbers usually begin with "DDR"

I have a Danby which has the feature for heat on the left-hand side. I just bought it a month ago, but can't lay my hands on the instruction book right now. Can you tell me the proper procedure for...

Lori, the Danby Humidifier, Model # DDR2504 does not have a heating function. It's just a 25 pint dehumidifier. In fact, there are no Danby Dehumidifiers that have a heating function.

By, chance do you have Multifunction Air Conditioning unit, rather than a dehumidifier? If so, please provide the correct model number.

Thanks for choosing FixYa.

We have Danby Model DDR557HE-7 and cannot locate our Manual. We need to disconnect hose and have excess water go to bucket. How is this done?? If we had copy of Manual we wld be able to search same...

All Danby dehumidifiers, regardless of the model number operate the same way.
The link below to a 50 pint model should provide all the info you need.

However, I think you'll find that draining into a bucket is not an option. As the hose drain relies entirely on gravity to drain. So, it will not drain down and then up into a bucket. The hose drainage method, is designed to drain into a floor drain or a sump.

Hope this helps you.

Need float switch that cuts off dehumidifer when bucket gets full

Without a Model Number or Part Number it's hard to help you. But here are three links, where you can find the float switch, if it's still available. You'll definitely need the Model Number to find anything.
