Change the sensor assembly and all will be fine, about $30 from Appliance Factory Parts on line store, about an hour to do, all that is needed is Phillips screw driver to take unit apart.

I had the same problem, and I wound up calling LG's customer support line. The rep I spoke with says that the "CH" code means that the internal thermostat is not able to accurately read the air temperature, and the unit will require servicing.
She gave me a couple of numbers for local folks, and I'll call them in the next day or so, but I'm thinking that this may not be worth the repair, unless it's pretty cheap: I bought the unit for under $100 less than 9 months ago, and I'm not eager to shell out a bunch of money to get it repaired.

Your model is no longer in manufacture or available. However, I was able to locate the Owners Manual for you. It does not list a CH 01 Error Code, but does list other reasons why your unit want turn ON.

In the past, I have recommended turning the Master ON/OFF Switch to OFF and unplugging the unit for 12-15 minutes. This will give the unit time to hopefully, reset itself. Then Plug the unit back in and turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to ON. Set the humidity control as you normally would. If it successfully reset itself, it should operate normally.
If you continue to have problems, contact LG Customer Support at 800-243-0000.
Hope this helped you to solve the problem.

In the trouble shooting section of the manual they do list err 24 and tell you to call the service center. They will arrange a service tech to come and deal with it. Or tell you to take it back to the store.
Just so I have the data point. Do you have it hooked up to a hose or are you using the built in bucket?
SOURCE: Error message CH 24.
We;ve managed to clear this error, at least for the last 5 days. Remove the bucket, and reach up behind the front panel where there is a filter- ours was covered in dust. After cleaning this off, and resetting the machine (by pulling the electric plug out and re-inserting), the error went away.
Your mileage may vary.
