most of the newer TVs have a small light to let you know there is power to the set. It changes color from, say, red to green when you turn it on. If no light, probably no power.
Hello, either the power supply is failing to power up the LED's or the LED strips in the screen have failed, a common issue with these sets. Power supply part # is EAY62169701. LED strips are only available as a complete screen assembly from LG....thanks

Your resolution on your ps3 may be too high for the tv to display. Hook up your PS3 to you TV with the HDMI cable. Now, when you turn on
your PS3, hold the power button on the PS3 for 5 seconds. It will reset
the PS3 video options and recognize the HDMI connection. It will then
search for the correct resolution settings on the TV. Press (X) to
confirm. And that's it. You should be set. If not, then the TV is acting
rather strange.
if the curc bord exploded i would blame either power overload. or water in the curc the lg- wd units have both internal p.c.b bord fuses as well as in line fuses try checking them
