SOURCE: my hitachi nail gun NR90gc2 will not fire

Check the date of the bottom of the gas. With the gas removed when you fire it you should hear a faint spark sound from the top. If gas is in date try putting it in your pocket for 10 minutes to warm it up. Open the front and make sure the piston is pushed all the way up into the machine.

My hitatchi nail gun nr90gc2 wont fire, every thing sounds ok fans running when pushed in but wont fire when I pull trigger

Sounds like something is jammed.
Most used hand power tools cost more to repair than they are worth. If it needs any parts you are probably better off buying a new one.

Hitachi Nr90gc2 nail jam

Use a punch as close to the size of the driver as possible and tap it with a hammer until the blade retracts and clears the jammed nail. Be careful and only hit it as hard as needed to clear the jam. Sometimes it will require a few good "whacks" with a hammer. Much easier then disassembling the tool and I clear jams on customers tools like that all the time here at my shop.

Hitachi nail gun,piston/nail push rod wont retract after pushing nail (stays protruding out of gun so the remaining nails stay underneath it

You have one or more worn o-rings in the head of the gun. They direct the air to the proper parts of the gun to first drive the nail then to return the driver to the top of the gun for the next nail. Depending on the manufacturer and your model number, some companies make kits to replace the o-rings (always replace all of them). For some companies you have to get a breakdown of the gun and order each o-ring seperately.

Hitachi nail gun nr90ad leaks from trigger when air hose is connected

Orings, they have to be replaced every few years. Warranty does not cover them.

Any Hitachi service centre should stock them. Or find your model on Ebay:

Hope this helps!

Fires a nail and then does,nt very irregular.

i have two hitachi guns and had a problem with both. they worked fine then stopped working after about a year. i got a new trigger wiring from www.powertoolspares.com for about £30 and fitted it myself and their both going great. must be a problem with micro switches as theres two on the wiring loom. one guns a nr90gc and the others the newer nr90gc2 but most parts are the same in both guns.
