I have a HP Altec lansing 64 bit laptop running on vista with NVDIA graphics 7600. I havent had a problem for almost two years untill last week i was on the internet and windows prompted me to update. Its been quite a while since i last updated windows so i did that. I updated windows and then restarted only to have a prompted saying abouting video graphics. i worked on it untill i restarted and then it came up with this black screen. From there i never got into my laptop again.. i hooked up an external monitor and was able view it but resolution was very bad as if i was running at a low resolution. i removed the hard disk and hooked it up on a Serial ATA desktop and booted in good visual but had prompts like the " the file specified cannot be found". I have run out of options now and am so frustrated over this problem.. i need support and help from your experts.. please help me..

Try to boot in Safe Mode, If you are able to move, try to Uninstall Video driver and software. Also find this adapter in Registry and delete values very carefully, better you backup your registry.
If you are unable, a fresh copy of windows will resolve this issue.
