Speed queen commercial washer EDR code keeps reappearing on machine.

Washer drain pump is clear. Drain line from machine to main drain is clear. Sump tank is clean. I reset the power and the EDR code goes away. Then randomly on about four machines of ten the EDR mysteriously reappears as the machine sits idle unused.

SOURCE: I have a whirlpool front load washing machine model WFW8300SW00

Hay Crab.
what I have found is that the washer thinks it is not pumping out .. if your drain pump is clearly removing the all the water in a good time... then the problem is your pressure switch...it is telling the computer that it still has water in the machine...

replace the pressure switch and it will solve your f21 error.

It is a round unit on the right hand side on top...with a tube and wires going to it...let me know if it helps

My speed queen will keep running through all cycles and now it full and won't drain.....please help

The drain pump is clogged or not working. Some washers have belt-driven pumps - check the belt. If it is practical, unplug the washer and try turning the pump by hand (with the belt removed if it has one). If you can't turn it in either direction, it is jammed up or the bearing has seized.

If you need help identifying the pump, look online for appliance parts for your model. Most online dealers will have photos of the parts. The pump will be somewhere in the drain line from the tub to the drain hose.

Speed queen top loader. Machine does not drain out water, it washes, but when it comes for the water to darin out , nothing happens. it will spin, but water still does not drain out, have to dish it out...

You need to clear out the drain pump. You do this by tilting the machine back as far as you can so you can access the underneath. You will see the small drain pump. Have a basin ready to catch any water that comes out when remove the pump which is only held in by 1 or 2 screws and twisted out or pulled out. Hope this helps

My calypso washer keeps stoppng and it comes up with the code LD, OB, 5L i'm not sure how to fix it.

The OB indicates and out of balance condition has been detected by the motor control.
One thing about the OB error is that the lid must be opened to clear the error and allow the washer to advance to the next part of the cycle. If the lid is not opened to adjust the clothes then the OB error will happen again.

If the OB error was cleared and the OB occurs with an empty load then the motor control has failed.

The drain pump must work. The image below shows how to run a diagnostic test to check the drain pump. Follow the instructions in the image below and check the drain pump operation. If the pump runs and the water does not drain then the sump is clogged. If the pump hums but does not run then the pump needs to be replaced.

SL = Suds Lock

SL is a suds lock code it can be caused by the drain pump not draining the water, too much detergent, non HE detergent, or extra heavy loads, try running it empty, if code persits it is a computer/main controller/timer failure

My machine will not drain after a cycle

Hi, check the following to address this issue.

1. Clogged drain line or water pump
Check to see if there's something stuck inside the pump or the drain hose connected to the pump (pump is usually located at the bottom and towards the back of the washing machine).

2. Water Pump
If the drain line isn't clogged, you may have a problem with the water pump such as a frozen pulley or a broken impeller. If that's the case replace the water pump. Note: if you have a belt driven washer, check the belt(s) for cracks, as this would be a perfect time to replace the belt(s) if needed.

**The most common issue will be an obstructed hose or, line

Take care

Water will not drain

Here is the Service Manual for reference. Sears Parts Direct for reference.

What makes you say the drain pump/line is clogged? Have you taken an error code to the display of ND for no drain? Is the machine is a FAV6800A or FAV9800A?

Is the machine failing in spin cycle of the wash cycle?

Can you supply more info regarding your no drain issue?

If there is a drain line/pump clog we would start at the Sump Cap disconnect the drain line from it and inspect the Sump Cap for debris. We would have to check if the input hose is blocked or the impeller of the drain pump blocked.

The drain pump is a tight work area I will attach a Pic of the Drain Pump location for the FAV6800A/FAV9800A machines with the Outer Tub removed. It’s located on the right side of the machine. You will see the short drain line hose from the Sump Cap to the input of the drain pump and the exit drain line clearly in this pic. But before all that I would have you place 5 gallons of water in the machine by bucket fill then turn on the drain pump in Service Mode and time the wash tub to empty the water fill about 25 seconds max. That would give me an idea if we are dealing with drain pump/line restriction issue.

Installing a Washer in basement

The top of the drain pipe that the washing machine drains in to should be about 3 feet off the ground. If the sewer pipe is higher than that you can either get a longer hose, or drain it into a sump with a sump pump that pumps it into the sewer pipe. If you don't have a sump, first try the longer hose and make sure it drains to a point higher than the sewer pipe (that would be the easiest) or cut a hole in your floor and put in a sump and sump pump (the most difficult).
