My iPhone turns on but wont. Light up what do I do

Did you try to reset it?
press both the home button and the on/off switch till the apple logo comes on the screen. When the display is defect you won't see a thing, so after 10 or 15 seconds nothing on the screen you can stop pressing. When you see the logo, release both buttons and wait about one minute. Then switch on with the on/off button.

Don't forget to plug in the power. And again, press home button and on / off switch, till it switches off. Then press the on / off button, till the Apple logo comes back, then release the button. It can take up to a minute, before the screen comes on.

There are three reset variations for ipod's, depending on how old they are:

  1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
  2. Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 10 seconds.
Or:

  1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
  2. Press and hold the Menu and Middle buttons until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 10 seconds.
Or:

  1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
  2. Press and hold the Play/Pause and Menu buttons until the Apple/iPod logo appears, about 6 to 10 seconds.
I hope that helps.

Try toggling the hold back and foward and putting it back in the off position. Then hold the menu and the center button down simultaneously for about six seconds until the apple logo appears. Then release the buttons and it should work.

IPhone

Hello Bruce,

Try this first:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake (on top of the iphone) button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. The phone will turn off. Then, push and hold it again, until the phone comes back on.

If that doesn't work, try this:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. This will do a "hard reset" and should bring your iphone back to life!

Please let us know how this works for you.

Best regards,
Bill
