I have tried the following things to no avail: All Samsung's troubleshooting tips i.e. unplug and plug to another working outlet, holding power button down for three minutes etc; All tips that I could find online; and replaced all boards with a kit purchased online. Please assist if possible with my thanks in advance.
You have a shorted printed circuit board inside the TV, careful testing and a repair manual are needed to find out which one is the issue.
Testimonial: "I figured that it was something beyond my amateur skill set. Looking for a reputable repair-person in my local area now. Thanks so much for your insightful and timely advice."
Sorry but have no way to make recommendations on businesses that can repair this in your area. 1st I have no idea where you are on the blue marble.
A local repairman came to my home and said the screen is flickering which indicates to him that the lamp is shot and therefore not worth fixing. Do you agree with his assessment? It is only two years old and 60" LED tvs aren't cheap.

A local repair guy came to my home and told me that is isn't worth fixing. Something to do with the screen being shot because it is flickering. Do you agree with his assessment?
You have to balance repair cost compared to new, as to my opinion I never repair because of previous experiences I just buy new one from Sam's club. The longest lasting brand so far is a 42" VIZIO LCD, 11 year's no problem so far.
