The lx 3125 has a front loading bobbin case which must be removed by pulling the latch on the bobbin case and thereby pulling the bobbin case from the shuttle.

once you have the bobbin case in your hand, let go of the latch and the bobbin will drop out of the case. you can now wind the bobbin or replace it with a wound bobbin - make sure that the bobbin thread is threaded down the slot in the case and behind the tension spring, also the bobbin should turn clockwise when you pull the bobbin thread when loking at the bobbin in the case.

I have a brother lx 2500 sewing machine and when it jamed i opened up the bobbin area and cleaned everything but now having problems getting the casing back in

Use a mirror and make sure that the area is perfectly clean and there are no obstructions. Then make sure that the needle is all the way up to the top of its cycle and then insert the bobbin.

Just got the sewing machine last night - read the manual, etc - the tension of the bobbin is way off. tried every solution mentioned, but its still not working

are you adjusting the little screw on the tension spring on the bobbin case by minute amounts each time? Only turn it a quarter turn each time you change it.

If you do the dangle test, (suspend the bobbin by the thread tail) the bobbin case and bobbin should stay still in the air, but a gentle tug on the case should release thread. Adjust the little screw with the mini screwdriver in your kit until you get it to this point. turn it left to loosen and right to tighten.

Also check that the bobbin is in the bobbin case the right way, page 12 of your manual should show this. Yout want the bobbin to turn anticlockwise when you pull the thread tail. Then load it into the shuttle using the latch on the bobbin case to secure it.

It is possible that the tension spring itself is faulty in which case you can buy a new bobbin case for the machine from the local machine shop, or http://www.sewingpartsonline.com/brother-lx-3125-parts.aspx

Hi, My sewing mechine is brother lx-3125 and my problem is getting loose stitch on both sides of fabric when i set stitch is 10 and tension 4-6..and also i am getting loose stitch on other no also like 9...

Most likely your machine is not threaded right, read your manual closely and double check yourself. Rethread your machine, no mixed thread use same weight, color does not matter but weight does. With your presser foot down, your top thread should be had to pull, with it up it should pull freely. Make sure your bobbin is wound evenly, and on a fresh bobbin. Then put in a new needle. Now, if the machine is still acting up, it may be your timing. You can call Brother at 1-877-276-8437 customer support. if you need a manual, go to www.brother-usa.com. My Brother LX 3125 does not sew zig zag stitches correctly. It zigzags about an inch then straight stitches an inch. I have changed the thread, needle, bobbin ?????

Mine did the same thing. The needle is probably to high. Do not insert the needle all the way to the top. Lower it a bit and it should zig zag!

Is there thread caught in the bobbin case? How far are you turning the wheel and are you holding the end of your bobbin thread out so that the top thread can hook it?

Top thread keeps getting wrapped around bobbin case on LX-3125

You should hold the end of the thread coming through the needle until the thread has grasped the bobbin thread.
