SOURCE: cant figure out where the shutter release cable hooks up oncamera

Sorry my friend, but the HTsi model lacks facility for a cable release. Use the self timer on a tripod instead to eliminate camera shake

Here's the link to a user guide if you don't already have one:

SOURCE: shutter release cable for panasonic fz18

There is no cable release for this camera--the belief seemed to be that the timer function would be sufficient

SOURCE: My Fuji S1500 lens will not go in and out? It reads zoom error

Due to the tight tolerances inside the lense mechanism - small bits of sand or lint may become trapped in the mechanics.

It is advised to take the camera to a camera repair shop and have it disassembled and cleaned.

There are many small parts and intricacies that will render it totally useless if not done properly.

SOURCE: Ihave a sticky shutter release on my Fuji S7000

Take it to an authorized dealer/repair center is my best suggestion, and when you get it back take care to keep it clean, out of the grit and dust of life.

Why won't my fugi finepix s4500 won't focus sharply ?

No good working auto focus can have many causes.
Like the camera is in Macro mode, or manual focus. The best thing to try, is to switch your camera to the auto mode. The camera logo on your mode dial. And then shoot some pictures. There should be enough light and contrast in the frame, on the place you want the camera to focus on. Sometimes you have to chose an object, with enough details and contrast, on the same distance as the object you want to take a picture of. Then press the shutter half way, till the camera is in focus. the indicator lamp next to the mode dial glows green. Then frame the picture like you want it taken end only than press the shutter completely.
If the camera does focus correct in the auto mode, then you can check, why it did not focus before.
Check page 19 of the manual, to see how to use the shutter release button, for correct focus.

Fujifilm S1500. Batter compart doesn't close

If you can't return the camera for service, my advice would be to close the battery compartment with tape. Not pretty but better than buying a new camera, I've done it a few times on old cameras and apart from cosmetics, works fine. Just make sure to use enough tape so the batteries won't fly out when using it.

Hi i have a finepix S1500 on opening shutter it says that the card is protected, so it wont take photos, have tried too sort out , do you have any ideas. Thanks

Take the SD card out, it should have a little nubby switch right there. You pull it down to lock, up to unlock.

To check the exact location of the switch, refer to the image below:
http://www.samsung.com/us/system/support/content/2008/04/07/h621/Card%20unlocked2.jpg

The red arrow mark in the picture tells you the location of the lock switch.

How do i put shutter cable on, or how do i remove the button

You can't. Not without destroying the camera. There's a clever little gadget from UK letting you use a generic cable release to "any" camera:
http://www.firstcall-photographic.co.uk/shop/categories/camera-accessories/0/firstcall/firstcall-cable-release-adaptor-bracket-for-slr-cameras/

Or, you can use the self-timer to prevent camera shake. You have to set the self-timer for every single shot, tho...

No picture taken when shutter release is pressed

if you see no reation of the pressing of the button i.e. no focusing, no error message nothing , then most probably a simplest problem , the shutter release button may not be working for few reasons : 1) defective switch. 2) defective flex cable. 3) camera exposed to some physical jerk or dropping resulting into disalingment between inner switch and the shutter release button.
