Crystal eye web cam not found on aspire 5920

You need to redownload the drivers for your crystal eye web cam. Go to this link: http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers

When you get there, select "Notebook"...then select "Aspire". Then scroll down and select Aspire 5745. Then where you see "Operating System", select your operating system (ex: XP, Vista, or Windows 7). It will then show all the drivers for your operating system...scroll down until you see the camera driver software and then download and reinstall it. Hopefully this will help...good luck.

I have had the same problem... i noticed when i plugged in a external mic, it worked just fine... maybe the mics are just defective

update the driver installer or download the driver web cam

If it isnt listed under hardware then something may have happened to cause the computer to delete the file "virus protection or firewall" and it may be that your computer just isnt reconizing the software anymore. if you have an installation disk try to use it and reinstall the stuff and go from there.

Try to locate the camera driver and do a update also might be a fix download for the Crystal Eye Cam through Acer Or another download site. Another idea would be to get a driver Program which checks all your drivers on the main items like keyboard, web cam , mouse, monitor, graphics the one i use is DriverDetective works great!

Look in the drop down list in Drivers and utilities for the ones with CCD in them.
3 different types of camera used in that model.
Bison, Chicony, Suyin.
If you don't know which is yours just try one after the other.

This is a common problem for Acer models using Crystal Eye. Delete the web cam from Add or remove programs. Delete all pictures from My Documents. Reinstall Bison Web cam driver. Will work!!!
