Sim card rejected / insert sim card

SIM card rejected means the SIM card has failed, it needs to be replaced.

Test your sim in another phone if its ok then problem from your phone. the DCT4 nokia phones hate water so much, the small sim controller ic may have been shorted as water is a semi conductor.

I'm not sure if this will be of much help to you but I recently bought a Nokia N910 Lumia and I paid to get it unlocked (it was with Rogers) and it wouldn't accept my SIM card from Virgin Mobile. The clerk who sold it to me assured me that it would work with the Virgin network and for reasons unknown at the time it wasn't working and he blamed it on my SIM card so I bought another SIM card and activated it through Virgin C.S, still to no avail. I bought it right before the Easter weekend so I was without a working phone for 4 days. The place was closed Sunday but the local mall in my city was open so I took it to the Wirelesswave there to get a 2nd opinion and maybe a non biased answer, which I most definitely did.
The Gentleman who was of much help first tried another active SIM card from Virgin, it didn't work, then he tried his with Rogers and guess what, It didn't work. I was then informed that a number of the Nokia N series phones were defective and were either 'rejecting SIM' or displaying 'unregistered SIM'. So after much arguing with the clerk who sold me the phone I swapped the defective Nokia that he sold me for a blackberry and problem solved.
Anyway Nokia is well aware of the problem with their N series phones but unless you contact them directly you wont get any answers. Call them and tell them that you have a defective phone, even if its passed the one year warranty they should at least send you a refurbished phone of the same series.
