Most microwave ovens have a wiring diagram in an envelope inside the cabinet of the oven. I don't work on them everyday but I've never took one apart that didn't have it in there somewhere.

Jennair combo micro wall oven 30" replace microwave?

When a microwave is dead, the most common causes are a blown fuse, or a blown thermostat / thermal cutout / TCO on the magnetron or on top of the oven cavity.

You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here.

Accessing the oven cavity thermostat for testing and possible replacement will require you to remove the oven from the wall and take off the outer cover.

If so, the installation instructions are very handy, and it's best to have two people since the microwave can be heavy and awkward.

You can download Jenn-Air (Whirlpool) owner's manuals and installation instructions here.

My JennAir went completely dead. It is probably 13 years old. Should I replace or have someone try to fix it?

Hello -

I cannot give you instruction on how to remove the kit(?) surrounding your microwave.

I can provide you with information which may help you decide if arranging for an repair technician authorized to service your JennAir microwave is the best option compared to replacing it. I refer you to the information from Angie's List:

Best wishes.

Had a problem with voltage (edison) smelt something burning while micro-wave was in use. now the lite+time works but nothing else. jenn-air jmc813odds

If you open the door of the microwave can you smell an odd odor? if yes the magnetron is probably fried "heats food" the other parts that need to be checked are the high voltage capacitor and diode. I recommend appliance repairman or tv technician to further check with an estimate.

Jennair JMV8208BCS No instructions in box

Hello. the installation of wall mounting bracket is not too difficult. you will need a drill, some bits, and a scrrewdriver. you will also need an electrical outlet at that spot to plug in the microwave.

Jennair makes a bracket kit for each microwave. Call any jennair dealer, have your model # handy and they will get you the bracket you need, also ask specifically for the instructions.

JennAir JMC7000ADW Microwave Oven Not Heating Well

Assuming the turntable is working and the power at the outlet is correct (110 to 125VAC) then you almost certainly have a failing magnetron.

If you or someone you know decide to look into it, we have critical safety information and disassembly information at our site, and our link is at our listing here on FixYa.

Here are some links you or someone you know can use (in order given) for test help, but read the safety warnings first: http://www.gallawa.com/microtech/mag_test.html (continuity can be good even though it is bad!)

You can usually find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here.

There should also be a "mini-manual" (tech sheet) hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting, testing, and locating components.

Jennair microwave built in above oven. Clock and controls still work but no cooking. Timer even counts down. Any known solutions?

Do the inside light and cooling fan come on when you press Start?

If so, the problem is likely to be in the high voltage section.

If not, then the problem is likely to be related to the door switches or possibly the controller.

Generally, the most common causes of a failure to heat are:

- bad door switches or door switch mounts
- loose connection at the magnetron
- problem or loose connection on the control unit circuit board
- bad magnetron or other high voltage part (such as a shorted diode)

If you or someone you know decide to look into it, we have critical safety information, info on door switch diagnosis and replacement, and disassembly information at our site, and our link is at our listing here on FixYa: http://tinyurl.com/yzjozk
