You could take it to an audio technician and have it diagnosed by components. There _may_ be an internal fuse.

I am a (Retired) Certified Electronics tech,With 35 years expierance, Behind my belt. End all a home audio (Fanatic) Sylvania, is nothing fantastic, End never was, It at the buttom of the (Audio) Chain,In qaulity.

If the actual plastic button is damaged etc either the keyboard may be available or molded into the plastic cabinet----beneath the plastic buttons is micro switch or in the case of the on/off maybe a larger switch----you would have to go to Philips in any case so a remote may be a better option.

What is the exact model number to your device?

Flip it over on the back and find a very small hole about 1in fron the right diagonal corner of the lower right side of the data plate. Insert a tooth pick in that small hole and depress the micro switch to load another copy of your CE system. If this does not do any thing then perhaps you will have to upgrade by flashing your machine.

If this is the Sylvania SYNET07526, you turn it over on the back and find a small hole 1in diagonaly from the right lower corner. Insert a tooth pick in to the hole and depress the micro switch for about 10 seconds, mind you this is when you have the charger inserted fully into the machine.

Ur main video backlight board is dead.Must be replaced.

It honestly doesn't matter what brand of micro SD you stick in your MP3 player, so I wouldn't worry too much. Micro SD's are much smaller, so no, you can't use a normal SD in a Micro slot. Most however do have an SD "shell" that you can stick your Micro into, and use just like a normal SD card. Also I know that MOST mp3 players allow you to add pictures, videos, etc, and having a Micro SD inside should allow you to add things directly onto it, so i dont see why you wouldnt be able to access the contents of the Micro from your MP3.
