Blinking red led light when I plug in the tv then it turns right

Hi there,

This model as 3 LED indicator lights:

1) Power/Timer 2) Status 3) Lamp


If "STATUS" LED is blinking RED:

1) Internal Fan has stopped. These tv's require fans, to prevent overheating and causing damage.

If "STATUS" LED is solid RED:


1) Circuit failure (short)
2) Disconnected DVI cable, chassis to engine
3) No LAMP-EN signal from Engine to turn the lamp On.
4) Ballast UART communication problem.

If "LAMP" LED is solid RED:

1) Lamp Failure - Lamp failed to turn On.
2) Lamp is broken (e.g. burst or blown)
3) Lamp turns Off during P-ON

There is no data relating to TIMER LED being solid RED.

The "LAMP" LED light indication on the front of the tv screen panel flashes or light up?The projection lamp was replaced 3 year ago u belive right?The average projection lamp life about 1 1/2 or 2 years.Withthin function in the tv and in used like 4 or 5 hours a day of tv viewing.Ur tv require a new projection lamp.

1. Red status LED, self-diagnosis error 44, check for open F9A06 on the Power PCB part # 283P128050 on the Power PCB 2. Red lamp LED, self diagnosis error 34. Check for 5-volts DC at J-9 connector pin 1 and 2 on the Engine Driver PCB if missing replace the Power PCB part # 930B921002 3. LED stops blinking after 70 seconds of plug in but will not power on. This model is equipped with a keyboard lock feature, this can be mistaken as a no power condition. To unlock the keyboard press and hold the "menu" button on the front panel for 10 seconds 4. LED stops blinking after 70 seconds of plug in but will not power on. Check for 3.2 volts DC at connector LE pin 3 and 4 on the Control PCB, if low suspect problems with the switches/buttons on the Control PCB part # 935D776001 5. LED stops blinking after 70 seconds of plug in but will not power on. Keyboard is not locked and key inputs at connector LE pin 3 and 4 check good. Suspect the E2P PCB part # 934C121001 6. (LED does not stop blinking after plug in) Disconnect the USB connector from the card reader to the front from the Chassis, if the LED stops blinking after 70 seconds replace the Card Reader part # 299P271010. 7. (LED does not stop blinking after plug in) Disconnecting the USB connector from the Card Reader did not help. Remove connector FC from the FMT PCB and plug the unit in, if the LED stops blinking after 70 seconds with FC removed suspect a problem on the FMT PCB (part # 930B924002), if the LED keeps blinking with connector FC removed suspect a problem on the DM PCB (part # 934C116002). 8. (LED does not stop blinking after plug in) On the DM PCB (part # 934C116002) check C81A2, C81A3, C81B3 and C81B4 (1000 UFD, 16V, 105C), if any are bad, replace all of them with part # 181P734030 (680 uFD, 16V, 105C). See Service Tip VS-78A 9. (LED does not stop blinking after plug in) On the FMT PCB (part # 930B924002) check C8F19, C8F21, C8F22, and C8F27 (16V 1000 UFD 105C), if any are bad, replace all of them with part # 181P734030 (680 uFD, 16V, 105C) See Service Tip VS-78A

When was the projection lamp last change?If the tv,projection lamp inside the tv at last change was 1/ 1/2 or 2 years ago,and the tv is on,an in use at lest 4 or 5 hours day.The projection lamp life,it over should be change the projection lamp.Now tv turn on LED light "LAMP" indication light up or flashes?Yes,the projection is dead,hear alot of clicking too?The Ballast board it also dead,should be change too.The Ballast board,this board job,it help to ignite the projection lamp.

If you leave the tv unplugged for 2 days (atleast) then plug it back in and try to turn it on and if it comes on its the power supply board. If it comes back on it will probably shut off between 30min to 4hrs and you would have to unplug it for 2 days again. All the power needs to drain out of the tv. If thats the case take the back pannel off and check the part number out on the internet. Not hard to do becarefull touching things the power supply does store a little bit or shock in it. hello the red blinking lights is a service code when this happens it means theres a power problem or a fualty circut. it happens alot with these new plasma and lcd tv's its very common since these units have built in protection and power loss a fualt or short will cuase this.
the tv needs service the tech will know what to look for according to the number of blinks.

Either bad capacitors -vented - on power supply board or bad E2P eprom board on DM board.Probably the capacitors-4-1000Ufd and 2-3300ufd.You should get expert help from reputable tv shop.Not really do it yourself fix either way.

Try the following
1-unplug tv
2-remove bottom cover on tv
3-tap the power supply frame a few times (where the power cord enters the tv)
I had the blinking red light on my tv. I tried other solutions like removing the red wire a few times etc. Tapping the power supply frame solve the problem.
