Text messaging I have an unlocked motorola razor phone (cingular) but my service provider is tmobile. My problem is that it will not let send text messages and i cant figure out why. can anyone please help?

You need to configure internet and MMS settings on your phone to be able to send/receive multimedia messages.

Normally, the service provider sends these data as a SMS once you power on the device for the first time with the new sim card in it.

If you didn't received any, contact your service provider( in your case, it is T-Mobile ) and ask them to send the configuration settings or you may need to go to a T mobile service outlet.

call tmobile and ask for tech support. tell them to resend the "over the air configurarion settings" or the "service packs" to your phone. Make sure to call from another phone.

Go to the code scale where you type in your code, click the top middle button and type in six 0's then click ok.

Most likely, your provider did not activate the text messaging for sending. The phone company has to activate the features to allow usage.

Your service center number may be wrong in the phone. Call T-Mobile and ask for the service center number. You should be able to find it in your text messaghing settings. If it is rong (since it varies between carriers) it will stop text messages from going out.
You may also want to try your sim in a tmobbile phone and see if you can send text. Might be a problem on the network, not just with your cingular phone.

It sounds like your phone is not unlocked. Did you get the phone through a different provider and your sim card through some one else? For ex, here in US, a cingular SIM will not work in a Sprint phone.
