I have a Samsung RS261MDBP. After a power outage, theres no power, no lights on the display, no sound, and no internal lighting. Holding Lighting and Freeze for demo didnt work. What else can I try?

Hold down "Energy Saving" and "Lighting" buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds (or top left & right buttons). Display panel returns immediately. Or try pressing the power freeze and vacation buttons for about 3 secs and it worked great.

IT is three buttons not two. Cooling Off mode (also called Shop mode), is designed for use by retailers when they display refrigerators on the shop floor. In Cooling Off mode, the refrigerator's fan motor and lights work normally, but the compressors do not run, and the refrigerator and freezer do not get cold. To start Cooling Off mode, press and hold the Energy Saver button, the Freezer button and the Lighting button for 5 seconds during normal operation. The refrigerator chime sounds and O-FF appears on the display. To cancel Cooling Off mode, press and hold the Energy Saver button, the Freezer button and the Lighting button again for 5 seconds, until the chime sounds. According to Samsung Customer Support SE stand for Sensor Error... after a power outage... so follow the same procedure as 1e (holding the save energy and lighting button for about 6 to 10 seconds.)

That sounds like a power glitch. Try pressing and holding the power freeze and power cool buttons at the same time for about 8 to 13 seconds and see if it clears.

If that doesn't do it, let me know and I'll dig up the Fast Track on it.

I was looking for a reset of 33e on a samsung RFG298HDRS, no luck all the advice didn't work for me I tried them all and then started my own combinations, holding down energy saver and lighting button for about 10 seconds worked the error code went a way and the refrigerator panel started working again.. I hope this will help someone.

I'm not sure what all the wild goose chase answers are all about, but you guys are WAY overthinking this and not solving the problem. I'm a 45 year old stay at home mom, decidely and possibly forever "un-handy". The solution is simple, as I just administered it this morning after a self-imposed power outage: Press the "Energy Saver" + "Lighting" button simultaneously for 3-5 seconds and you should be back in business. When this happened on a previous occasion, we had a repair guy come out, although the fridge was operating perfectly bc we weren't sure if that error message was indicating something important. Well, I felt like a schmuck when the guy showed me how to reset the panel (and we were both a bit irritated that phone tech support didn't do a better job of level 1 troubleshooting). So there it is...if your fridge is working fine but showing 1E, press Energy saver + Ligthing at the same time (you may need a flashlight since the panel will be dark).
