SOURCE: my yahoo mail keep switching back to old classic version

there is an article at http://www.uniquestuff.net/switching_back_and_forth_yahoo_mail_classic.html which provides 2 links. One link is to get back to yahoo mail while the other is to go to new yahoo mail. Easy trick, no messy turning javascript on and off, or lowering your screen resolution.

In the upper right hand corner, there is a gear looking thing. Click that, go to "Settings". Select "Viewing email". The last option on that screen is "Mail version". Select "Basic" and save. It will automatically refresh.

I want to go back to my yahoo mail classic, how can i do it, Thank you.

As of May 2011, there are three versions of the free Yahoo! Mail available: a "classic" version, a standard version and a beta release of the latest Yahoo! Mail. While the company promises that the newest version is faster and better than its predecessors, some people may still prefer to switch back to more familiar territory after giving the new one a trial run. You can switch back and forth between the beta version and the one you currently use during the beta phase of the latest Yahoo! Mail.

Switching from Yahoo! Mail Beta
1.Log in to Yahoo! Mail Beta.
2.Click "Help" on the top left of the page.
3.Click "Return to Original Mail." A message will appear asking for your feedback on why you are switching back to the old Yahoo! Mail interface. Check the situation that applies to you and enter additional comments in the form. Leave it all blank if you do not want to give a reason.
4.Deselect "It's OK to contact me about my feedback" if you do not want Yahoo! to get in touch with you regarding your feedback. Otherwise keep it checked.
5.Click "Continue." You will be taken to the last version of Yahoo! Mail that you used before trying out the new beta.

Switching from Yahoo! Mail to Yahoo! Mail Classic

1.Log in to Yahoo! Mail.
2.Click "Options" on the right between "Mobile" and 'Help."
3.Click "Mail Classic..." A message will appear saying, "You're about to switch to Yahoo! Mail Classic. Before you do, we'd love your feedback."
4.Click the "feedback" link if you want to explain why you are switching to the classic version and fill in the form. Other
5.Click "Switch to Yahoo! Mail Classic."

I want my yahoomail which i was using last week

Yahoo sent several emails to users over the last few months regarding the change in the mail program. Unfortunately this is a permanent change and you cannot go back to the classic version.

Sorry about that.

Hi,

This is a known issue with the New Version Yahoo Mail. Asa workaround to this problem, you can switch to the older version of Yahoo Mail (Yahoo Mail Classic)

To switch to Yahoo! Mail Classic (Old Yahoo), on your Yahoo Mail page click the Options link in the upper right corner between Help and Mobile, then click the Switch to Yahoo! Mail Classic link.

A dialog box might appear asking for feedback. If it does, click Switch to Yahoo! Mail Classic.

For more details, click on this link:

Hope this solves your problem. Thanks.

I want my old version of yahoomail back. The "new" version is no good. How can I do this?

I'm guessing email. You can flip back and forth from Classic:

"For sure! We made it super-easy to switch back whenever you want. You can switch up to the new and back to the old as often as you want. We hope you'll see how much the new Yahoo! Mail improves on the old version. But until you agree, here's how to switch back.

To go to the new Yahoo! Mail, just click "Options" in the upper-right corner of your Yahoo! Mail page. On the Options page that opens, the message " Yahoo! Mail Beta has arrived! Try it now!" appears in the upper-right corner, just below the "Options" link. Click "Try it Now!" to get to the new Yahoo! Mail.

To come back to the old Yahoo! Mail, under where it says "Welcome, yourname" at the top of your Yahoo! Mail page, there's a "Switch Back" link. Click "Switch Back" to go back to the Yahoo! Mail version you're already familiar with." Source(s): http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/or…
