E1 codes on thermostat. Found green wire from the single zone thermostat is disconnected at the ac module. I believe this is a fan wire. Not sure where it should be connected.

unplug cable at both ends. remove cover from t-stat. using contact cleaner spray contacts on cable and points it connects to. if necessary replace t-stat and cable
Error Code: E1 Loss of communication between the Single Zone LCD thermostat and the mod-ule board. LCD will cycle between E1 and the previous mode setting. System will shut down. E2 Open circuit or out of range Indoor Temperature Sensor. Heating and cooling operation will be locked out. Fan operation can continue to operate. E3 Shorted Indoor Temperature Sensor. Heating and cooling operation will be locked out. Fan operation can continue to operate. E4 Open circuit or out of range Outdoor Temperature Sensor (select models). yes u leave the bridge intact and just put ur red wire to r or rc and usually they say rh and rc that is for a 2 transformer system which obviously u dont have so leave the wire intact jumped and hook ur red wire up yellow is ur ac wire white is ur heat wire and green is ur fan wire and red is ur 24 volt hot wire all a tstat does is jump that red wire to white for heat green for fan or yellow for ac but make sure ur power to ur unit is off before u change wires or u risk touching wires together and burning up transformer
Check to see if there is a short between the green wire and the red wire. Green is the fan control wire for AC. Sounds like some wires may be touching. How did the old t-stat get fried?
