SOURCE: Help please! TP-Link Wireless Router TL-WR641G stopped working

It looks like all your devices by themselves are working fine.
Good start.
If you took the router out of your office I assume that the settings from the office and your home are different, which causes the setup not to work properly.

First of all you should find out which hardware version of the router you have and download the manual from here, so you have the information at hand when you're not online.

Then you want to rest the router to factory settings, so you start clean. In order to do so, use the Factory Default Reset button: First, turn off the router's power. Second, press and hold the default reset button then turn on the router's power, until the SYS LED lights up (about 3 seconds). Last, release the reset button and wait for the router to reboot.

Follow the instructions in the manual form page 8 on onwards with a special view on setting up PPPoE. Have your information form your DSL provider handy (Account name and password).
The default webpage for the router interface is http://192.168.1.1
Username and password are both "admin".

Do not enable any wireless security until everything is working fine.

Make sure later to change the password to something else, so no one can "take over" your router.

If this solution did not help, please don't rate it as "Thanks for trying" or so, but leave a comment instead and I will check back and we can work form there.

Good luck!

How to convert a tata photon in to a wifi connection

First, you need an internet gateway. Do you have already some kind of internet connection through DSL, CABLE Modem, etc? The TP wifi will first have to be connected to your network (wired LAN). Then, once that is done, you need a computer with web browser to access and configure the setting in the TP. There is a CD that comes with the TP. It contains "Easy Setup Assistant" program to configure your TP wifi.

TP-Link TL-WR642G recovery after failure upgrade to latest firmware

may find this page helpful. http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php...om_a_Bad_Fl ash Its not for the TP-Link router but the same principle could be applied to you with the correct firmware. Its worked for me on more than a few occasions. Providing you can ping the router via a lan cable then the chances of recovering it are very high.

Error 045 when setup the modem with Win7 64 bit, connection to network failed.

What the problem? i'm also using this router...
how you setting the router?using wifi or LAN?
BEFORE THAT,
DOWNLOAD HERE

RUN INSTALLER FIRST BEFORE CONNECT TO YOUR ROUTER.
connect line rj11 to link dsl,rj45 to your pc/laptop.(dont use wifi to setup the router)
then plug the power and ON the wifi router.
After that, check light for ADSL, WLAN INTERNET AND PORT(1 OR 2 OR 3 OR 4) IS BLINK

..IF light is okay and blink, then you can setup the utilities.
Is easy. TP-LINK get ready with software that you can setting the router as like professional with the secure encryption. For receiver I'm preferred you using tp-link also. Then you can use QSS function only just click button QSS..
