SOURCE: Rooftop RV Air Conditioner: replaced capacitor on dometic 59516-531 steal trip...

You need to borrow a clamp on style amp gauge, and check amp draw on black wire in box where hydro wires connect. (PLEASE, be careful, and if not experienced in this type of test, don't try it, due to likelihood of getting a shock. ) If it's the compressor kicking in that's causing the breaker to trip, and capacitor is good, then it's usually a problem with either low incoming (supply) 110-120 AC voltage, which will cause high amperage draw, or compressor on it's way out causing high amp draw. If it's only drawing 15-18 amps, and your tripping a 20 amp breaker, then breaker is getting weak.

SOURCE: water dripping out of rv ac into rv.

Is it a ducted system? If yes, check that there isn't gaps between the divider that separates return air at the front, with forced(cold) air. You can usually use a flashlight and look for gaps, or even (very carefully) feel it blowing cold into the warm air return. If you find some gaps, buy some foil tape, and tape them off good and retry and see if it still happens. Some older units experienced cracks in drip trays that allowed condensation to drip inside as well. Get back to me with year of your RV, and whether it's ducted or non-ducted system, and perhaps I can guide you better on what to look for.

SOURCE: Where do I find the

Hi, both indoor and outdoor units will have model and serial numbers on them. Inside you will have a plate or sticker on it where it is visable. The unit on top will have a data plate on it that tells all of the information on it. You will have to remove the cover to find it. It is a self contained unit. It should be very easy to locate. Let me know how it goes and I hope you find it OK. Please don't forget to rate me as I know you will be kind. Keep me posted and I will check back in with you.
Sincerely,

SOURCE: need to install a dometic

A schematic of the part number can be found here... Duo Thermostat Wiring.pdf

Additionally, go HERE for the Dometic Service Manual. See pages 39 and 40 as well as 50 and 51. Depending on which unit you have this gives the colors coding for the leads as well as the placement on the thermostat.

Hope this helps; keep us updated.

Dometic rv ac freezes up

Check your air filters first. Then make sure the fans are running. If they are not let me know. If they are then get the refrigerant charge checked.

Air filter? #1 cause of air conditioning and heat pump problems. Filters are cheaper than repairs, a lot cheaper.
