Try plugging the hole in the wall where the wire comes through. Also be sure you are not trying to reach your humidity set point therefore overshooting your cooling setpoint. Referred to "droop" in settings

It is a closed system, (ends are soldered) that said, a heating and cooling guy may be able to install fill valves and re-charge for you, but make sure you get a quote ahead of time. How old is the unit? Not normal for them to need re-charge, and I've seen them work good for 15 years, if maintained properly. Has it been completely cleaned recently?
