The words on the screen is doubled or trippled.

A regular mirror will not work as the mirror has special construction; What you can do and our shop has done this is find a used one bigger and have it cut down to size.

If it is Toshiba you can also call ANDREWS ELECTRONICS in LA (they have 800 number) and see if original mirror is available from Toshiba. There are also some sites on the internet and if you google the model number with the word mirror you will find them

Be extra careful if mirror was broken as pieces will be very sharp.

Entire front screen unit will have to be removed to get at it and or replace it.

Sounds like you need to check the convergence. You can in the MENU under PICTURE go down to the CONVERGENCE to make the adjustment, set the RED and BLUE

Common problems with rear screen projections. Either you need to refocus the alignment, or you need to have the Convergence IC's replaced. In your owners manual, it should tell you how to refocus the alignment.

Replacing the Convergence IC'S should fix it. They should be STK392-110's. I would replace both of them as a pair.

There are two common problems with these sets.

Problem #1) Convergence

you need new convergence chips, there are 2, part number stk 392-110, also you must check for burnt resistors, if you don't have very good soldering skills at least, you will need a tv repairman.

These sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the picture to look normal. This is called convergence.

When its out of alignment the video will look 3-D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired. Convergence problems are very common on all Projection TV sets including Sony, Samsung,JVC,Philip Magnavox,Panasonic,Akai,Pioneer, Hitachi,Mitsubishi,Zenith and others.

see if the mirror in side is broke or cracked

Do you have any larger speakers close to you tv. Or any magnets been neer it. If you unplug it for a while the tv should have remove the rainbow

have you tried the convergence option in the menu? i believe it is under "picture". this allows for nine different sections of the screen to be adjusted when projection images get out of whack.
