I think my sansa is a different one but I have the same problem I have to hold onto the jack in order to hear both sides of the stereo track. is it possible to replace the plug?
Hi, have had loads of mp3 players and this has happenede quite frequently (im, sure you have tried it with different headphones, but if you havent do so) It happens when the headphone jacks, bends the metal contact in the socket, so you have to push in the headphone to on side to get stereo, so annoying! Have fixed this a couple of usb stick mp3 players before by taking them apart and cleaning the contacts with deoxit 5% (its a contact cleaner) then bending the contact back a little bit, sometimes its worked other times it hasn't, but I was only doing it on cheap £20 players
Your player is a nice 6gb player, and I really wouldnt reccomend taking it apart in any way, if you do you will end up voiding your warranty
If its still under manufactures warranty (between 1 and 2 years) and even if its not get in touch with sansa by email

make sure you describe the problem clearly, giving your model number, and any serial numbers/product numbers you see on your player, Hope this helps
