Red light error in sony projector vplex100 - Sony Office Equipment & Supplies

Check the fan connections, one might not be connected right if you have just serviced it. Switching off with a flashing red light usually indicates a fan error.
Also is there a sequence to the flashes? e.g, 4 flashes and pause?
some manufacturers have a fault code table for the amount of flashes.

Hi,

if the Lamp error and Temperature error lights are flashing red this means that there are two separate errors.

• A flashing lamp light means the lamp failed to ignite. It could be a lamp driver problem or lamp failure. Replace the lamp to resolve the issue. If the issue is not resolved, then service the projector.
• A flashing Temperature light signals a fan error. Turn the projector off and allow it to cool down. If the light is still flashing after the projector is turned back on, service the projector.

How many times is the red light flashing at one time? The flashing is an error code, the number of flashes indicated the problem. It could be the bulb, the fan, a power issue, or even your altitude.

starting voltage is more than 1000V (only 1-2 seconds)
after 1-2 seconds ,the projector is turn on ,and running
operating voltage is 65-120v

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. When I plug the LCD the LAMP/COVER flsh blinking red light

I would suggest you to take out the lamp and check for any damage or discolouration to it.

I'm sure that you'll find this to be the problem , in which case you will have to replace the lamp.
