My lg monitor is displaying half screen what may be the problem

Hi. I have got the same problem, and it was very easy to solve. Monitor was LG. The problem was not in the system, it was in the monitor. I just clicked the buttons on the monitor, it was on the wrong setting that divides monitor in two colors, so if it happens to you, try checking your monitor settings, mine was set to "demonstration", half was lighter than the other one, just set it to usual or user. Keep in mind the settings are on the monitor itself, not in the windows (buttons on the monitor itself) Good luck.

There is a problem with the capacitors in your monitor. This is a normal problem these days with flat screen monitors, I am trying to find out why it is always like tha. This will normally be caused by improper shut down or power fluctuations in your monitor. Capacitrs in your monitor are responsible for holding down the power from the supply, fr the proper display on your monitor. If a capacitor is damaged, or buldged, it no longer holds power long enough for your display, and that is why your screen goes black after a few seconds. This can be solved by opening up your monitor, using a sharp and flat object, opening it starting from the bottom working your way up until the cover is completely out. You will notice finger-like clips that are holding the two covers together. Once you are done, check on the circut board where you connect the power cable.... that is where you are going to find the damaged capacitor(s). You can identify them by noting their bulged head or if there is any liquid coming out of it. Before you replace the, take note of the polarity (+) and (-) so that whenever you replace with the new one it is in the same direction. This will fix up your problem. Note: make sure you let a Computer Technician to do this for you, unless you can do it yourself without damaging the monitor. Thank you

It could be some sort of "Demo" mode on the display, try going into the menu of the display and looking for settings relating to Flatron F-Engine, it has a demo mode that could be the problem. That is the most likely cause since its exactly half the screen.

That is bad T-CON board which is part of the LCD panel assembly, not much you can do. You can try seating the connector on the T-CON board to see if it will solve the problem.

Its is the problem of your monitor display. please contact service center ASAP.

Install the forteManager software that comes with your LG LCD monitor. Go to the Options tab and choose Restore which will set it back to factory settings. For some reason some monitors come this way out of the box and this was the only way I was able to solve the problem with mine.

Based on your description, it appears that the monitor is faulty. Since it is only a week old, you should have no problem exchanging it.

The best way is to change the screen.

The game will contain a file config.xml or config.inf delete it and run the game your problem will resolve.
If you didn't find these files or the game does not contain the files then attached lg 24 monitor and start the game and go to option menu and in display sitting set the display at 800*600 or 1024*768 then save the setting.
Now you can pug the small monitor.
