  1. Press and hold Power and Vol- until the device reboots and small white text shows up saying press Vol+ within 5seconds for recovery. Do not press Vol+.
  2. It will then prompt you to cold-boot in to either recovery or android, follow the directions on screen to select android and start.
That seems rather annoying to have to do every time you restart the ****** thing. The permanent fix requires either root access via terminal emulator under the installed version of android, or running a remote shell on it with the Android sdk. I chose the latter.
As with all ASDK tomfoolery, start the adb server
adb start-server
Check to make sure the device shows up
adb devices
Start the required remote shell session
adb shell
Run the follow magic command to make everything happy again
echo boot ' dd of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p3 bs=1 seek=0
And then reboot the device.
reboot

Why will my Asus transformer tf101 not boot up can it be fixed ?

Three possible solutions, from mild to drastic--hope one of them can help.
1) In my experience, the battery can drop below a threshold voltage quite suddenly and cause the boot-up to freeze, or not start at all. Before you do anything else, be sure it's *fully* charged by leaving the tablet switched off and plugged into the charger for at least 12 hours. Then try starting it normally. If it still doesn't start up,

2) Try holding the power button down for a long press, at least 10-15 seconds. Sometimes this is enough to kick it into action. If not, you could try the nuclear option--

3) --a hard reset, which could be achieved by pressing a straightened paper clip into a small hole (*not* the headphone socket), or by holding down the power button and pressing the volume-up or volume-down button and then following on-screen instructions (check your manual). Note that this will erase all your user data and you should back up everything first, but if you can't boot I don't see how you could accomplish this.

Good luck!

The way to Hard Reset ASUS Eee Pad Transformer TF101-A1 to Full Factory Reset: For those who have any troubles with your ASUS Eee Pad Transformer, use the 10-12 sec force power off trick to attempt a fix. If that doesn't help, backup whatever you want to keep and perform a full factory reset.
Some times you will discover error when asus transformer hard reset, like not responding to your device or your gadget not responsible. Don't be worry, simply just restart this and wait a minute. I think's it's side-effects of hard reset ASUS Eee Pad Transformer TF101-A1.
