Have the controller module checked. You can also download the service manual from Pride's website. It has a lot of information in it as well as a complete wiring diagram.
Google search came up with the whole thing. I typed in "wiring diagram pride legend 3". The images were then available over the any portion of the unit you need.
Me too. Any luck, have the same year three wheeler only getting 6volts at motor. Local dealer is a joke, wants to overhaul entire unit before fixing the trouble.
hi ,I don't have access to the wiring diagram however I worked on most scooters so can I ask what the problem is , has the wiring loom got damaged ? if so please tell me the name of the motor contoller under the seat a blue or black box. I have rewired over 200 scooters so it not a issue. Not one failure.
Had a similar problem with my shoprider te888's there are 2 possible solutions that I have found.
1. dirt had been picked up in the pad that acts as a brake, causeing the motor to drag and speed up, found this after almost burning my hand on end of motor with brake. disassembling the brake and cleaning with an alchohol soultion fixed this one.
2. Loose wire to battery post, or corrosion on battery connectors can cause this too. found loose terminal on battery by tightening nut where wire attached.drove me nuts for days till I decided to tighten with wrench rather than finger tight... On my scooter it would slow down do to excessive current draw because of bad connection and controller would shutdown, which meant ubrut stop. Showed up mainly when climbing long grade up driveway.
hope this helps
