Hi my Dell latitudes xt series has frozen keypad, if i open any files it will not type. can you help

For OS,go to safe mode,where you can goto admin and change your password.

seems like your trackpad is not acvitaved yet
look for a key on your keyboard which has a tracpad picture on it. then press that key and Fn (function) key at the same
time while you're on the desktop
or if you can't found the key,you can look for a button near the trackpad
