Sylvania sdvd8727 second player has sound no pic? Any part to replace this?

I believe that your vehicle has a micro switch in the door that switches off when the door is closed. It may either need cleaning or replacing (not a big or expensive job).

The other cause can be an error code that needs resetting.

You don't have a big problem and it's nothing to worry about

If this is a combo unit the first thing you have to do is remove that dvd from inside the player. Open up the unit and do the deed. THEN see what happens. Often when the player gets jammed or whatever, it will render the rest of the set useless until the hassle is removed. In this case get that disk outta there.

If still nothing disconnect the power line that feeds the dvd to see if that has any effect on overall tv operation.

Try inserting the SD card into a PC SD card slot and see if it plays for you. If it does, then the Sylvania does not support the file extension used in the files you downloaded. It's not a fault.

i found the problem of the video blackout of the second screen, it's the chip marked CC5R sot23-6 close to the a/v connector. it's possible to make it work without changing the IC but you won't be able to have an output or input depending what you want to do if you want to make it work as original, replace that chip and it will work again. any other questions i will come back soon

if you peel off the protective film with the fake icons on it covering the screen first, then plug it in, it will show you a pic of a charging battery thats shows you how charged it is. (just like a cell phone) When it shows the battery "full"... its charged.

this is actaully a feature called intro, go into the repeat menu and select normal, you get there by clicking mode while a song is playing. this should fix it. hope this helps

you have to hold the button up for about 5 to 7 seconds then it should turn on its one of those hold till it starts button

It sounds like you video processor has malfunctioned, due to a voltage surge. When your power went out and came back on that caused a voltage surge which may have destroyed the video processor, or its associative circuitry. I would suggest that you have a qualified TV repair technician look at your device and give you an estimate on the repair cost.

Try a different USB cable or press and hold the play and the volume+ button for 3-5 seconds.. And if still facing the same problem then Try and download the Firmware from curtisint.com
