I looked at my display screen on nokia 5800 and i noticedm i had crcked it in the top left hand corner, it had gone black and lines appeared ont he display. Is this the actual screen or another part?

Open line means network Unlock,You need to specify which Network,country it locked now?Because Not able to Unlock all country's Network...

The letter p appears if you press the button star(*) three times quickly

I believe the "Caption Vision" is selected. By pressing the "Display" button on the remote it should toggle through the choices until "Display Off" appears. That should be all.

It is what we call a "Shatted Pixel" and you can fix it by flashing your screen

Sounds like the connection from the phone and ur touch screen is loose. Would suggest getting a technician to fix it. There are online resources that also show you how to do it.

the battery itself can be faulty..may be its not health..check it with the other or new battery and it will confirm that the battery or phone is causing this...

Your display circuit is broken, even if the LCD-panel,
seems to be ok the display is damaged.
This is a very common problem in Nokia phones.
The only way to fix this is to change the display.
You need a T-6 Torx Skrewdriver to do the job.

this is due the fact that your mobile's line is set to line 2
in the ideal screen press # for a few seconds it may solve the problem

If, when selecting the guide, the entire screen is black (except for the preview in the corner), then the digital main board has gone bad and will need replaced.
