Color Accent:

  • enter this mode
  • point to a color you'd like to highlight
  • press Menu
  • shoot
This will be the only color, all other colors will now be shades of gray.

Color Swap:
  • enter this mode;
  • camera will ask you to input Original and New colors;
  • use Up and Down to select how loose/precise color selection needs to be;
  • point camera to something with Original color and press Left
  • point camera to something with New color and press Right
  • shoot
Everything with the Original color will be shown with the New color.

Both of these procedures are described in the Advanced User Guide, pages 59-63 ( http://gdlp01.c-wss.com/gds/0900001430/PSSD600IXUS60CUGad-EN.pdf )

My Rca 52 inch has lost color But If I set the feature

PIP means the set uses either two tuners or a dual tuner--could be a issue with the tuner. If it has a swap feature in the PIP use it to see if color when tuner is switched from main to PIP tuner.

A possible way around the issue is to look to see if rear audio/video inputs have color---you could route signal from a box etc to one of those and BYPASS the problem if rear inputs do not have this problem(not likely they will).

How do I use the Color Accent feature on my Canon Powershot ELPH 300 HS? It will only focus on green at the moment. No info in manual.

Once you select the color accent you should see the word " menu" in the bottom left hand corner of the screen with a down arrow next to a picture of a tube of paint. This means hold down the menu button for longer than a second, then you can adjust the color to be accented in your photos. Any time you see the word menu and the down arrow on the screen it means hold the menu button for longer than a second for more options/setting adjustments.

My camera was working great, but the last time I used it the color was all washed out. Some things in the picture had color and others didn't. I think it has something to do with the color accent. I...

'Washed out' sounds as if the pictures were over-exposed which could be caused by settings which have been altered, as you said. It should be fairly easy to set the camera to 'auto', which will override any unusual settings in the 'manual' mode and be the simplest way to deal with the problem. Naughty girls!

How can I turn a color photo to B&W and save only one color? Canon Power Shot A590 IS

That's called the "color accent" feature. Press Function button, then select the Eyedropper icon with an "A" beside it. Then press Function again.

Now press the Display button. This brings up a cursor in the center of your screen. Point the cursor at an object with the color you'd like to keep, and then press the left button to select it. Then press display again to exit.

When you're done trying color accent, remember to set it back to Auto by pressing the Function button, then selecting the Auto feature.

Can't get normal color in video mode.

We just solved this problem! Rotate the wheel button (above the Display & Menu buttons) to see the various option (Color Accent, Color Swap, Compact, etc.) and stop when you get to Standard.
