Were is my acer tablet my acer switch 10 stolen the thief turned the find my tablet off before i got to another computer to locate it there must be away to remotely download a app. so i can find it.

if you have been using a code to open it then it is already blocked unless the thief knew your passcode

You cannot deactivate it remotely.
If the tablet is password protected for access, or the access is protected by another means, the thief will not be able to use it anyhow.

Contact Amazon so they can block the account so the thief cannot get anything on the device. When you get a new device you can re-register it.

Even if you restore the device to factory settings and clear the previous owners settings, images etc from the device the device will still have the same serial number which apple or the previous owner may be able to trace when the device goes to register online (something it will need to do to access the itunes store).

There are also apps which allow owners of stolen devices to take a photo of whomever is holding their device which they can then bring to the police along with the GPS location settings showing where the device is.

Of course, if the previous owner had the device set up to upload images to their cloud account images you have taken of you, your friends and surroundings may already be in their possession......

Questions: if the device is indeed stolen,

1 - do you really want to answer to the police why you are in possession of a stolen device?

2- if it was your ipad that had been stolen, wouldn't you appreciate someone helping you get it back?

if you had any software activated like avast anti thief or samsung protecting you could delete everything but otherwise best solution is to go on police and give that number

If it was reported lost or stolen, this is for a reason. You should contact Amazon to return the device to its proper owner, and the police to bust the person that sells "lost or stolen" goods. You might even get your money back.

Enter BIOS SETUP. Enter the current password.
Change it to a "blank" password.

Or, if you don't know the password, find the orginal sales-receipt, to prove to HP that you are _NOT_ a thief in possession of the stolen computer, and then HP will assist you.

On the acer travel mate only some models came with wireless and others did not. If yours has wireless the switch should be located right on the front of the computer. I hope this helps
